Granborough Village Hall - Booking Terms and Conditions

1. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult must be 18 years old or older.

2. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult is responsible for all entertainment and safety arrangements for the duration of the hire period.

3. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult must be present at the Hall for the duration of the hire period.

4. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult is responsible for the compliance with the conditions of the Premises licence as displayed in the Hall.

5. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult must make themselves aware of the fire procedures as displayed in the Hall lobby notice board and advise all users of the exit routes to be used in the case of fire and the assembly point.

6. No alcohol may be sold on the premises.

7. No dogs except ‘Assistance Dogs’ are allowed in the grounds and hall.

8. The Village Hall is a non-smoking area.

9. The temperature and timing for the central heating shall not be altered. Supplementary heating is available by means of the wall-mounted electric heaters, using £1 coins via the slot meter in the kitchen.

10. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult must complete the End of Hire Check-list sheet, held in the folder on the table in the entrance hall lobby. They must confirm all areas have been checked at the end of the hire period.

11. Due to the hall’s insurance, it is not available for overnight occupancy

12. The committee will arrange for the Hall to be inspected as soon as possible after the conclusion of hire. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult will be advised if the Hall has not been left in a satisfactory condition.

13. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult shall be responsible for the costs of any repairs, additional cleaning and/or replacements should any damages occur during the period of hire.

14. The Hirer and/or Responsible Adult should advise via the Village Hall Booking System if they are aware of any damage etc. immediately after the hire period.

15. Upstairs is out of bounds for all users unless previously authorised

16. The maximum capacity of the hall is 75 people (including performers, singers, bands etc)
